Chuck UebeleVery cool image. I like this very much. Some other options to try when tinting like this. Using Silver Eflex is great to get the effect, but rather than erase it in the color areas, make a duplicate layer of the color image, put it above the b&w layer, set the layer's blend mode to color and then apply a layer mask (hide all) then paint back in the areas you want colored on the mask. Two reasons to do this. One is you can reverse the process if you mess up and two, this will use the effects in tone control you did in Silver eflex. Another way to do the color tinting, which is more along the lines of how it used to be done prior to computer is to make the b&w as you have done then apply an adjustment layer using hue/saturation. Set the mode to colorize and set the values you want then paint in those colors on the layer mask. You will need several adjustment layers for each color.
